托福独立口语旅游文化类话题一览
说起旅游，大家可能头头是道；但说起文化，大家却又面露难色。其实在托福独立口语的题目考察中，旅游和文化是两个密不可分的主题词。
一方面，在历年的考试中，我们会见到把二者相结合考察的题目；
比如说这个题目问的就是当我们去国外旅行时，是否应该学习当地的文化。
20180331-Do you agree or disagree? When you travel to a foreign country, you should try to learn the local culture.
另一方面，虽然有的题目中只有旅游文化中的一个主题词，但实际思路展开时我们可以由旅游拓展到文化，或者由文化拓展到旅游。
比如说下面两个题目分别只提到了旅游和历史，但第一个问题除了从旅游的角度出发，也可以从不同国家的不同文化来入手展开理由，第二个问题也可以将世界历史延伸到世界文化进而延伸到出国旅行。

在旅行中，我们有机会结识来自不同的地方的游客以及当地居民，他们都有着不同于我们的文化背景、性格以及生活习惯，因此可以在旅行中与他们互动交流，增进彼此的了解，进而建立起友谊关系。【除了说理论证之外，还可以举具体的例子，从when/where/who/what/how分别细化】

在现在人们生活节奏都比较快，人们忙于工作、学习和生活，而旅行能够让人们欣赏风景，品尝美食，由此可以帮助人们获得短暂的休息并远离生活的喧嚣。

不论是外出旅行还是学习文化，我们经历的、看到的、学习到的都是不同于日常生活和书本知识的内容，因此我们能够增长见识，开拓视野。what-geographic location/architectural heritage/cultural sites
👉avoid offending local people ：
因为不同国家有着不同的文化、习俗和禁忌，如果不了解当地文化的话那就很容易在出行时做出不礼貌的举动，冒犯到当地人。因此，提前学习当地文化能够有效避免冲突的产生。
举个栗子：

分析：题目问当我们去国外旅行时，是否应该学习当地的文化。
题目当中有两个关键信息【travel to a foreign country】和【learn the local culture】，因此这个题目在选择理由时要注意联系旅行和文化之间的关系，比如说学习当地的文化能够让我们在旅行时避免做出一些冒犯当地人的举动，学习当地的文化也能够让我们和当地居民有更多的共同话题，这样可以参与更多集体活动并且和他们成为朋友…
所以，常用的理由make friends/broaden horizon/avoid culture shock/avoid offending local people都可以使用。比如说：
avoid offending local people-By learning about the local culture, we may avoid offending local people. This is because different countries have different cultures and ideology. For example, in some Muslim countries, women are in special dressings, if we have no idea about it, we will be too curious to show our politeness. Say, we may keep staring at them or make comments about it.
make friends-It allows us to make friends with local people. After learning the local culture, we will share more common topics with local people. For example, if we know about the history of their ancestors, when we visit local districts, we are able to have conversations with them. In this way, they are more likely to tell us more about their rituals and heritages because we are different from those travelers who only focus on taking photos.
broaden horizon-It provides us with ample opportunities to broaden our horizons. I mean, we are exposed to new and different environment. If we learn about the local culture, we can appreciate the diversity of culture. Otherwise, we may end up learning nothing when the trip is over because we are not able to have a comprehensive understanding of the artifacts when we visit museums, let alone visiting historical sites.
avoid culture shock-Getting to know the local culture beforehand could reduce the amount of culture shock. With previous knowledge about the new place, there would be less confusion and conflicts. Therefore, it allows visitors a more enjoyable stay when they actively get involved in local life and adapt to the new habits.

I do believe that we should learn about the local culture. First, it allows us to make friends with local people. After learning the local culture, we will share more common topics with local people. For example, if we know about the history of their ancestors, when we visit local districts, we are able to have conversations with them.
