首先我们读题，可以得到大致的印象如下：

太空经常被指为最后的边界，因为太空这个领域是人类对其连基本的理解还没有搞定：但是海洋这个领域是另一个我们关于其知识还_______的。

由此可以推知，空里应该填和“很少、很基础”意思相近的单词。因为这道题的4个错误选项的单词都不难，大部分同学用排除法可以选出正确选项sketchy和rudimentary。

这道题中需要同学们重点识记的两个单词是：

sketchy adj.大致的，概要的，粗略的
