Pets-宠物

Many people keep pets. The most common are dogs and cats, but people also keep birds, e.g. parrots, that are usually in a cage. Children sometimes keep mice (guinea pigs) and rabbits.

Insects-昆虫

Wild Animals-野生动物

The pictures show a number of wild animals. Some of these animals, for example tigers, are now quite rare. It is important that we protect these endangered animals（濒危动物）.

Flies buzz.
Birds sing or tweet（啾啾）.
Cats go miaow（喵）. They purr（呼噜噜） when they’re happy.

Cows go moo（哞）.
Dogs bark（吠） or go woof woof（汪汪）. They growl（低吼） when they’re angry.
Ducks quack（嘎嘎）.
Geese honk（喔咿）.
Horses neigh（嘶鸣）.
Mice squeak（吱吱）.
Pigs oink（哼哼）.

Snakes hiss（嘶）.
