– What does the professor imply when he says this?

– Why does the student say this?

– What does the professor mean when she says this?

– What can be inferred from the student when she says this?

– What does the woman mean when she says this?

Why does the professor say this:

A. To influence the students’ opinions about Alice Neel’s work.

B. To suggest that Alice Neel created her best paintings late in her career.

C. To reinforce the fact that Neel’s work was not appreciated.

D. To show that Alice Neel’s situation was similar to his own.

And I guess you might say, she experienced difficulties as an artist. She was in her 70s, before she had her first major solo exhibition.

Why does the professor say this?

A. To help students understand the meaning of a new term

B. To indicate that his point is not related to the main topic of the lecture

C. To emphasize one element of a play over all others

D. To begin to summarize the main points of the lecture

This is the inciting incident. It sets off the plot of the play.

所以it set off the plot of the play是解释功能。

Why does the man say this:

A. To find out where the student got her information

B. To inform the student that she has misunderstood something

C. To signal that he needs more time to think about the student’s problem

D. To admit that he does not know how the delivery process works

Wait, who said something about delivery?

Really;I couldn’t believe……

●支持/赞扬:great;that’s exactly what I mean;Fabulous; Magnificent; Excellent; Terrific; Awesome; Amazing; Fantastic; Incredible; Outstanding, masterpiece

●反对:think carefully, critically, but, too bad, it’s a good …,but…;

Sounds great, but…/ Sounds like fun, but…/ that’ s tempting, but…

●可惜:what a shame/ that’s too bad./ I’m sorry to hear that/ tough luck等

What does the professor mean when she says this:

A. Pleistocene rewilding has been tried before without success

B. Pleistocene rewilding should be tried with just a few species

C. Pleistocene rewilding has already been thoroughly researched

D. Pleistocene rewilding is another form of human

If you think about it though, the core problem with this sixth mass extinction is human interference. Pleistocene rewinding is based on good intentions, but you know, it probably would just be more of the same thing.

What does the professor imply when he says this

A. He will not write a term on the blackboard

B. The students do not have to take notes

C. The situation was described in the reading

D. The students can easily guess what he means

Composers, after all, had to earn a living, and those who were employed in the services of a specific patron, well, I don’t have to spell it out for you.
