2020年UC申请系统开放，活动列表又有新变化！-UC活动列表6大板块信息填写指南|UC申请系统变化解读
一直以来，加州大学深受众多申请生的喜爱。随着八月的来临，申请季逐渐拉开了序幕，CA、UC申请系统已经开放，之前TD申请手把手教大家如何填写Common APP👉2021Fall 申请季正式打响！Common App填写这些细节要把握好
今天，我们带大家看一下UC申请系统在2020年的申请季发生了哪些变化？
什么是UC系统？
UC是University of California的简称，是世界上最具影响力的公立大学系统之一，它包含了除加州大学旧金山分校之外（这所学校不提供本科项目）的其余全部９所加州大学，分别是：
加州大学伯克利分校（UC Berkeley）
加州大学洛杉矶分校（UCLA）
加州大学圣地亚哥分校（UCSD）
加州大学圣塔芭芭拉分校（UCSB）
加州大学尔湾分校（UCI）
加州大学戴维斯分校（UCD）
加州大学圣克鲁兹分校（UCSC）
加州大学河滨分校（UCR）
加州大学美熹德分校（UCM）
这9所加州大学的申请共用同一个系统，也就是说，即便你想申请多所加州大学，也只需要在UC系统中提交一次申请即可。虽然申请只需要提交一次，但是申请费需要按照申请学校的数量支付，每一所学校国际生的申请费是80美金。另外，需要大家注意的是，UC系统不开设ED、EA批次，只有唯一一个RD申请批次，截止日期为11.30。
UC的活动列表共计可以填写20个活动及奖项，涉及以下六个板块：
Award or honor
Educational preparation programs
Extracurricular activity
Other coursework
Volunteering / Community service
Work experience
下面我们针对不同的板块，来看一看今年UC活动列表的要求，以及发生了哪些变化？
UC活动列表：Award or honor
第一个问题
What’s the name of the award or honor? *（60字符，计空格）
第二个问题
选择奖项的级别：Level of recognition *
第三个问题
Type of award or honor *
第四个问题
When did you receive it? *（可多选）
If you received an award during the summer, select the grade you were in before that summer.
可以从9年级选到12年级以及after 12th grade.
第五个问题
What are the eligibility requirements for this award or honor? *（250 characters，计空格）
For example: How are award recipients chosen? How many people are selected to receive the award? Is there an application or nomination for the award?
第六个问题
What did you do to achieve this award or honor? *（350 characters，计空格）
We’d like to understand what it took – on your part – to achieve this award. For instance: Were there multiple competitions that you had to participate in? How much time did you dedicate to winning this award?
总结
此版块一定要注意一下，去年UC系统中对于这一板块中第五题和第六题的要求，都是500字符以内计空格，今年第五题要求不超过250字符，第六题要求不超过350字符，均计空格。
UC活动列表：Educational preparation programs
第一个问题
选择项目名称，可以从给出的下拉菜单中进行选择
What was the program name?
如果选other，需填写Program Name (30字符以内，计空格)
第二个问题
Briefly describe the program. *（350 characters，计字符）
Think about the program’s main focus, your experience, and what you accomplished and learned while participating in the program.
第三个问题
When did you participate in the program? *（可多选）
If you participated in the program during the summer, select the grade you were in before that summer.
这里可以从9年级选到12年级以及after 12th grade，如选择After 12th grade，需要填写以下信息：
How many months/years after 12th grade did you spend on this program? *
Number of Years *（可选择年限从0至10+年）Number of Months *（可选择月份从0至11个月）

We’d also like to know if you’ve held a leadership role, which can mean more than just a title — it can mean being a mentor to others, acting as a point-person in charge of a specific task, or taking a lead role in organizing an event or project.

If you participated during the summer, select the grade you were in before that summer.
这里可以从9年级选到12年级以及after 12th grade，如选择After 12th grade，需要填写以下信息：

What were your job responsibilities? *（350 characters，计空格）

When did you work at this job? *（可多选）
We’d like to know when you worked at this job and the number of hours per week you worked. It’s ok to estimate, but try to be as accurate as possible. If you worked during the summer, select the grade year before that summer.
这里可以从9年级选到12年级以及after 12th grade，另外，需要选择参加这项工作的时间是school year还是summer，且在相应选项下填写参与时长。
如选择After 12th grade，需要填写以下信息：
How many months/years after 12th grade did you spend on this program? *
Number of Years *（可选择年限从0至10+年）Number of Months *（可选择月份从0至11个月）

需要注意的是第二、四问题的字数由原来的500字符减少至250字和350字符以内，计空格；第五个问题在选择参加这项工作所在年级的同时，需要选择school year or summer，并填写参加工作的时长，如果选择了after 12th grade，需要附加12年级之后参加这些工作的时长，所有的时长填写均可以精确到小数点后的两位数（可填整数／小数点后两位）
以上就是我们整理出的2020-2021 UC申请系统对于活动列表的更改，以及每一项填写的具体要求。我们可以看出原来要求500字符左右的活动内容描述部分，字数全部减少至250字符/350字符，这就意味着申请生对于文字运用能力变得更为重要，建议大家把自己在活动参与中最主要的内容和最核心的责任表达出来，用更加精准的词汇和表达方式来展现自己的活动及奖项。
